Website Design
A website is a reflection of yourself, your business, or your hobby.
If you have a business, you should have a web site, so that customers, potential employees, business partners and perhaps even investors can quickly and easily find out more about your business and the products or services you have to offer. The Internet functions 24 hours a day, seven days a week - this means your website/business is always available for the whole world to view - bringing you opportunities that did not exist before.
What you need to get online
- Register a Domain Name
- Website Design
- Website Hosting
- Search Engine Optimisation
- Search Engine Submission
- Site Maintenance
Register a Domain Name
A domain name is a name that identifies one or more IP addresses. Because domain names are alphabetic, they're easier to remember. The Internet however, is really based on IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name, therefore, a DNS service must translate the name into the corresponding IP address. For example, the domain name worthdesigning.net translates to 72.9.232.226 You need to register a domain name which is like registering a business name; it is unique to you and your product. First, search through a database to see if the domain name you want is available, then you can either register it yourself (through a registrar) or get your hosting provider to do it (a good web host will register your domain for you).Website Design
You have a few options here; build the site yourself (if you know how), get a friend who knows how, hire a website designer such as myself, or host with a company which has a site builder included in the hosting package (such as 'Homestead').If you require help with website design and maintenance, please contact me including full details of what you need.
